Kangaroo Play Date

It is a nice sunny day. The kangaroos gather in the grass field with their joeys (baby kangaroos).

The very small joeys stay in their mothers' pouches. Some of the older ones hop out of their pouches to play with each other in the field.

"Oh no," says one of the kangaroos. "I hear it's going to rain tomorrow."

"What's the problem with that?" asks another kangaroo. "It's been very dry. The grass could use some rain."

"I know," says the first kangaroo. "But that means the kids will have to play inside all day!”
